El cerro de las Mitras localizado en los municipios de Monterrey, Santa Catarina, San Pedro Garza García y García en el estado de Nuevo León, al norte de México.
Es llamado así por sus distintivas protuberancias en la parte alta con forma de mitra episcopal, en el horizonte regio, grandes picos de dificultad variable, todos ellos accesibles de clase 3 a 5 de dificultad., de oeste a este, estos son los picos Cuauhtémoc con 2000 msnm es el más alto de todos, piñón, pirámide perico, piloto, lobos,y alfa, posibles de ver desde su lado norte.
Siendo parte del Parque Nacional Cumbres de Monterrey, la montaña es frecuente destino de escaladores, a pesar de ser considerada de difícil ascenso.
Las zonas grises en el área sur/sureste son cráteres formados por la extracción de materia prima para la elaboración de concreto.
Algunas otras montañas o elevaciones de la zona son: el Cerro de la Silla, la Sierra Madre Oriental y su Cerro de Chipinque -con la famosa figura en forma de "M"-, el Cerro del Topo Chico, el Cerro del Obispado, Cerro de la Loma Larga y La Huasteca.

    Meeting Point

    El punto de reunion, partida y de final es: *El Colegio Kilimanjaro* en Cumbres,
    Calle Venecia S/N,
    Col. Cumbres 8o sector,
    Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

    De este punto nos trasladaremos al inicio de la caminata. Es necesario identificar a sus guías a través del grupo de wsp en el que estaras incluido.

    Season

    All year, but it is highly recommended from autum to spring. Summer is very hot.

    Difficulty

    Intermediate: this route is apt for people with little experience in hiking, the route involves walking in paths, between stones and can have down climbing. Although this can be your first adventure trip is necessary that you have the ability to move mountain terrain. GOOD phisycal condition is required and no one with overweight will be admitted.

    Clothes

  • Dry-fit or cotton shirt
  • Convertible or mountain pant
  • Socks (you can use double socks to have your tennis well adjusted)
  • Tennis shoes in optimal condition
  • In excursions with dirt road transportation bring a sweater, windbreaker (watreproof) and a cap.
  • Yous can leave personal gear in the vehicle.

    Groups

    Groups can be made 6 people minimum. In case of not being able to form a group, you will have to make reservations with a full payment of the tour and wait to be assigned to one of the groups formed by other people. If you can't be assigned, you'll be refunded. You may ask for VIP groups with no minimum persons and guides will be assigned exclusively for you including all meals, transportation from airport, cabins and hotel nights.

    Food is NOT included in this trip, we recommend you bring 3 litters of water and energy bars
